During our annual Read Across America Week this year, Bailey Elementary will be hosting a Read-A-Thon (February 26th-March 6th). Our Read-A-Thon is where our students spend lots of extra time reading books independently, with a friend or family member, and with their class. Every minute is logged as a reading session and the minutes add up!!!
As we are reading, we are asking that family, friends, and local businesses support our growing readers by donating money to our students. Students will earn RAT (Read-A-Thon) Bucks for every dollar donated and be able to use those RAT Bucks to shop online at the RAT Store. The donations that go to our school will help to build our school library's space with lots of new and exciting books and hands-on activities for the students to be engaged in their reading.
To DONATE - just go to our Read-A-Thon homepage to make a donation. You may make a donation to the school, a specific student, or as a business! https://www.read-a-thon.com/sc...
Our overall school goal is $15,000. Our students are striving for reading goals of: K-1 students = 75 minutes for the week, 2-3 students = 125 minutes for the week, and 4-5 students = 150 minutes for the week. You can log their minutes from home on the webpage and we will log reading sessions from school too!
We will continue to provide updates to our Facebook page and school webpage throughout the entire event.
If you have any questions, please click here and someone will respond within 24 hours.
AS ALWAYS - thank you for your support in promoting a love for reading in our scholars!
