Greetings Bailey Elementary Families, 

Welcome to Hornet Country! Thank you for visiting our school website! As the proud principal of Bailey Elementary, I would like to take a moment to share a little about myself. My name is Allen Wilson and I truly consider it an honor to have the opportunity to serve the Bailey Elementary School family and the surrounding community! 

Prior to this role, I served as an assistant principal and interim principal with Franklin County Schools. Before becoming a school administrator, I began my career in education as a science teacher at Southern Nash Middle School and coached boys golf at Southern Nash High School. I attended North Carolina Wesleyan University for my undergraduate degree in Biology and Gardner-Webb University for my master’s degree in Executive Leadership. I recently completed the requirements for a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University and graduated in December 2023.

I am so proud of the growth that our school made during the 2022-23 school year as we moved out of low-performing status! Throughout the 2023-24 school year, our goals will be centered around the phrase "Raising the BAR" as we continue to strive for excellence:

• Accelerate Student Learning

• Reach More Students With Individualized Support

I believe that together as students, staff, parents, and community we can accomplish these goals! I look forward to partnering with you as we continue the tradition of excellence and student growth that Bailey Elementary is known for!

My name is Samantha Deans. I am the Assistant Principal at Bailey Elementary.  I have been here at Bailey for the last 7 years.  Previously, I was an elementary and middle school teacher, as well as a principal.  Altogether, I have worked in education for the past 28 years and love it!  I am also a mother of 4 boys.  My oldest has special needs and is in 3rd grade.  My youngest is currently in Kindergarten.  I love this school and the community around it.  As the AP at Bailey, my responsibilities include supporting families with transportation needs and coordinating all testing that we do on campus each year.  Working with the parents and teachers is one of the great things about my job.  I am so glad to be a part of this team!
