Hello Bailey Elementary Families,

My name is Linda Cooper, and it is an honor to serve the Bailey Elementary community. As a proud graduate of Nash County Public Schools, I know firsthand the strength, pride, and potential that exist within our school system.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to serve students and families in many roles across our county. I began my career teaching at Coopers Elementary, Hubbard Elementary, and Middlesex Elementary before moving into administrative positions at Williford Elementary and Tar River Academy. Before coming to Bailey, I served for four years as a middle school principal in a neighboring county, an experience that deepened my passion for instructional leadership and fostering student growth.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Barton College, a Master of Arts in Reading Education from East Carolina University, and an Administration Licensure from Gardner-Webb University.

At Bailey Elementary, we believe in the power of partnership—students, families, staff, and the community working together to create the best opportunities for our children. I am grateful for the chance to continue this journey with you, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish. Together, we are truly “Growing Together.”

Warmly,

Ms. Linda Cooper

Assistant Principal, Bethany Brantley - babrantley@ncpschools.net

My name is Bethany Brantley, and I am excited to serve as the new Assistant Principal. This marks my 11th year in education, and I am thrilled to be back in Hornet Country. I completed part of my administrative internship here at Bailey, and it feels like a true homecoming to return to this wonderful community.

I come to Bailey with experience teaching 4th and 5th grade at Nashville Elementary, as well as in Pitt County. I earned my administrative degree through the NELA program at NC State University, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Science Education, both from East Carolina University.

When I'm not working to support our students and staff, I enjoy spending quality time with my daughter and relaxing at the beach with family and friends. I’m excited to get to know all of you and work together to create a positive and enriching learning environment for every student at Bailey Elementary.
